“Second place finish for Jeremy Fletcher in X30 Pro Junior”
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – It was a podium winning weekend for Team Benik at the second event weekend of the 2020 United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) as all three team drivers claimed top-ten results. Taking on the CTECH Manufacturing Motorplex at Road America, Jeremy Fletcher led the way on the results sheet with a third-place finish on Saturday as Team Benik secured five top-ten results in six opportunities.

“We are building good momentum and have had great results since we returned to racing,” expressed Nick Mitchell. “With multiple wins in July and August, September has continued to yield results as we build the Benik program.”
After qualifying 11th on Saturday in X30 Pro Junior, Jeremy Fletcher marched his way forward in the prefinal with a spirited drive to finish third. Starting inside row two for the main event, Fletcher was able to work his way forward and eventually finished on the second step of the podium. Returning to the track on Sunday, Fletcher improved his qualifying performance to turn the sixth fastest lap in the competitive field of drivers, but some hard racing saw him relegated down the order to finish ninth.
Michael Costello joined Fletcher in the X30 Pro Junior class and though his results on Sunday were not true to his pace, the young Junior driver improved from his 16th place qualifying position on Saturday to add another top-ten for Team Benik.

Multi-time race winner and Micro Swift driver Asher Ochstein found himself in contention for podium results both days and battled hard to score a pair of top-ten finishes. After qualifying fifth on Saturday and finishing third in the prefinal, an early race spin sent him down the running order to outside the top-twenty before he drove forward to a tenth-place result. On Sunday, Ochstein hovered around the top-five all day long crossing the line in P6 at the end of the main event.
Mitchell continued, “Having all of our drivers in the positions they were in throughout the weekend shows the strength of our program.”
With no time off, Team Benik will be back on track this coming weekend at the Homestead-Miami Speedway for the next round of the AMR Motorplex Karting Challenge Race Series
