Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Race winners multiple times in 2021 to date, Team Benik will look to add to that growing list this weekend. Taking on the ultra-fast New Castle Motorsports Park facility in Spiceland, Indiana, Benik drivers will contest the second round of the competitive United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) with five drivers.
“New Castle is one of those places where you can be fast but not pull away due to the draft,” explained Nick Mitchell. “We have had much success here in the past and will lean on those experiences to make sure our drivers are in the best position possible to stand on the top step of the podium.”
A victor in 2021 multiple times over, Mini Swift driver Enzo Vidmontiene will look to grow his win total this coming weekend. Currently sitting second in the overall championship point standings, the Florida Winter Tour Vice-Champion is one of the favorites in the Mini Swift division. Joining Vidmontiene will be 2020 Micro Champion Asher Ochstein, who has continually marched his way up the results sheet in his rookie season in the Mini class. Royce Vega, who had one of his best runs at the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour, will once again throw his hat in the mix in Micro Swift alongside Luke Giglio.
Two drivers will compete in the Pro classes and they will be Michael Costello and Logan Vajda. With Costello in the X30 Pro Junior class, he will be aiming to earn his way to a podium result while Vajda will compete in X30 Pro, one of the toughest classes in all of karting.
Mitchell continued, “We have several opportunities at upcoming events to add to our program. If you want to be a member of Team Benik, or purchase any of our used or new Team Benik chassis, contact us today.”
While official race action does not start until Saturday, Team Benik drivers will be on track Thursday in preparation for a busy weekend of competition. Stay tuned to the Team Benik social media pages for news, information, photos and results from the event weekend.
