Fort Lauderdale, Florida – It is another weekend and another event for Team Benik. Making the trek from their home base in Florida to Spiceland, Indiana, eight Benik branded drivers will take on the final rounds of the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour. Dubbed the SKUSA SummerNationals, Team Benik will enter three IAME powered classes with the largest contingent coming from the Mini Swift ranks.
“We have been working hard all season to show our success and build our program back up again,” explained Nick Mitchell. “Our results have been good and that has helped for sure, but I think the biggest benefactor that we have had is the consistent improvement and front of the field presence in both the Micro and Mini ranks.”
With a quartet of drivers entered in the Mini Swift class, multi-time race winner Enzo Vidmontiene will lead the way. Joined by 2020 Micro Champion Asher Ochstein, the pair have shown the speed and consistency to challenge for race wins all year long. Entering this weekend, Vidmontiene will be joined by the brother and sister duo of Gabby and Matt Guidera as they try their hand at national level competition.
The trio of Micro Swift drivers have been on a steady rise throughout the season with improvement in results with each passing weekend. Often climbing the running order throughout the event weekend, Royce Vega, Sebastian Cortes and Troy Ferguson will fly the Team Benik flag in the youngest class on the SKUSA Pro Tour.
With seven drivers in the Micro and Mini ranks, it will be Michael Costello as the sole entrant in the Junior class as he will race in the talent filled X30 Junior category.
Team Benik drivers will hit the track on Thursday and Friday for a pair of practice sessions before round five on Saturday and round six on Sunday to close out the SKUSA Pro Tour for the 2021 season. Two race days provide two opportunities to win, and you can follow it all on the Superkarts! USA app or stay tuned to the Team Benik social media pages for news, information, photos and results from the event weekend.
