July 24, 2023 – Announcing a new dealer for the Benik line of products last week, Team Benik is off to New Castle Motorsports Park this weekend for the annual Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour. Taking on the SummerNationals, the Florida-based program will bring a quartet of drivers in the Micro and Mini Swift classes as they search for race wins, and podium results, and to finish the SKUSA Pro Tour with momentum.
Perennial front-runners in the Micro and Mini ranks, Team Benik’s best chances at victory will come from the Mini Swift class they will enter with three drivers. Always a threat for race wins and podium results, Royce Vega, Marco Romero, and Troy Ferguson will look to work together and battle at the front of the field. In the Micro Swift class, Wynn Godschalk will fly the Team Benik colors as he makes the trek to Spiceland, Indiana, and the ultra-fast New Castle Motorsports Park.
“We have had a lot of success at New Castle in the past but also a lot of heartbreak,” explained Team Benik’s Nick Mitchell. “We have competed at the Indiana location several times this season and learned a lot. We have the speed to win, we just need to make sure that we limit mistakes, and we are in the right place when the checkered flag flies.”
Set to hit the track Thursday for unofficial practice, Friday will be reserved for official sessions with a pair of race days on Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned to the Team Benik social media pages for news, information, photos, and results from the event weekend.
