Fort Lauderdale, Florida – It’s the second trip to Las Vegas in the last calendar month and Team Benik is looking to hit the big jackpot. Bringing twelve Team Benik entries to Sin City and the annual Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals, the Florida based program will take on the temporary circuit on the grounds of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway as they enter drivers in a handful of different classes. With returning veterans and team newcomers, the SuperNats will close the 2021 national campaign for Team Benik.
Always strong in the Micro and Mini Swift categories, eight competitors will be spread across the two youngest classes on the schedule with four in each. Team Benik regulars Troy Ferguson, Royce Vega and Sebastian Cortes will be joined by new team driver Jaxon Porter, who will join the squad in Las Vegas and pilot a Benik chassis. The Mini Swift quartet will be led by multi-time race winner and champion in 2021 Enzo Vidmontiene, who is one of the favorites entering the weekend. He will be joined by Gavin Whitt, Beckham Toupikov and UK standout Noah Baglin.
“Eight drivers give us eight chances to win,” explained Team Benik’s Nick Mitchell. “We welcome Jaxon to the Team Benik family and look forward to assisting him in scoring the results he deserves. With a wealth of knowledge around him and several drivers to try different setups during the ever-changing Las Vegas track conditions, we are confident that he will feel right at home after the first day of on track activitiy.”
Three drivers will compete in the junior ranks with two in X30 Junior and one in KA100 Junior. Brandon Carr will make his annual trip to the SuperNationals and join Team Benik in the X30 Junior class as he will compete alongside Michael Costello providing a powerful one – two punch. In the KA100 Junior class, Nicholas Stouffer will make the switch and will fly the flag for Team Benik in the 100cc class as he looks to top the results sheets in Las Vegas.
Frankie Mossman will be the lone soldier for Team Benik in the X30 Senior category but with a resume of success, should be able to battle near the pointy end of the grid once heat races begin on Friday.
Mitchell added, “While we have twelve Team Benik drivers, we will also welcome four competitors for one of our dealers, Zanella Racing bringing the total to sixteen. We look forward to providing winning customer service and trackside support to Zanella Racing drivers Teddy Musella, Leo Escorpioni, Victor Alancar and Aaron Benoit.”
Team Benik drivers will hit the track on Wednesday for the first day of official practice with qualifying taking place on Thursday afternoon. Friday will see the commencement of the heat races as they will run through Saturday with main events taking to the track on Super Sunday.
