“Four drivers set to compete at GoPro Motorplex”
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – With the condensed 2020 season nearly complete, Team Benik will travel to the GoPro Motorplex this weekend. Competing in the final round of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS), the Florida based program will enter four drivers across three classes as they continue to march through the 2020 season.
“This is our final national event on the East Coast before 2021, and we are looking to finish it strong,” expressed Nick Mitchell. “All of our drivers know how to win and as a team, our goal is to stand atop the podium in their respective classes. We have had some success at the GoPro facility in years past and if we keep our heads down and work hard, we should be in contention when the checkered flag flies.”
Two drivers will throw their hat into the mix in the X30 Pro Junior class as Jeremy Fletcher and Michael Costello will fly the Team Benik colors. Showing great pace at the most recent USPKS round at Road America, the duo will be working together off the track for greater success on it.
Micro Swift competitor Asher Ochstein has racked up several big wins in 2020 and has an outside shot at the 2020 USPKS championship. Currently fourth in the points battle and with two full race days on the horizon, Team Benik’s and Ochstein’s goal is to win both races and see where the chips fall at the end of the weekend.
Joining Team Benik in North Carolina will be KA100 Junior driver Logan Vajda. Competing in several big events in 2020, Vajda will take on the GoPro facility in the effort to put Team Benik on top in the KA class.
With practice beginning on Thursday, a full day of official practice is set for Friday. Two days of wheel-to-wheel action on Saturday and Sunday will crown race winners and series champions after the final USPKS event of the season.
