Fort Lauderdale, Florida – As the 2021 race season begins to wind down, Team Benik will look to close the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) with a bang. Scoring multiple race wins and podium results throughout the season, the Florida based program will look to stake claim to the Mini Swift championship with Enzo Vidmontiene as four drivers will fly the Team Benik colors in North Carolina.
“We have had a good year with the IAME powerplant in USPKS and look to close it with some additional victories,” explained Nick Mitchell. “Following this event, we will immediately begin the final preparations for back-to-back races in Las Vegas, but our sole focus is victory this coming weekend in North Carolina.”
With four drivers set to take on the GoPro Motorplex, Enzo Vidmontiene will lead the team into the racy facility ahead of the Mini Swift points standings. Not needing a win to earn the title, the Team Benik driver is focused on a solid result and if there is a chance to stand atop the podium, he will definitely make a bid for it. Joining Vidmontiene in the Mini Swift class will be Beckham Toupikov who has fed off the success of the team and began his march towards the front of the grid.
One driver will race in Micro Swift and that will be the ever-improving Royce Vega. Steadily improving his results throughout the season, Vega looks to close the year on a high as he looks towards a 2022 campaign. While three drivers will come from the Micro and Mini ranks, one entry will come from the junior category. Showing pace throughout the United States Pro Kart Series, Michael Costello will look to put Team Benik at the front of the field in X30 Pro Junior
Mitchell added, “Any Benik Kart customers looking for sales and support at the USPKS are invited to stop by the Team Benik program for assistance. We will have parts and support available. Additionally, any drivers looking for an arrive and drive program or tent and transport service to Las Vegas for the ROK Cup USA and Superkarts! USA SuperNationals are asked to contact us ASAP.”
With unofficial practice beginning Thursday, official test sessions will run throughout Friday before wheel-to-wheel racing commences over the weekend.
